Gary Lynn Cole's Obituary
Gary Lynn Cole, 71, of Tecumseh, Michigan passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at University of Michigan Hospital. Gary’s family will hold a celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
He was born on June 22, 1954 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Cal and Eleanora Cole. Gary married the love of his life, Ruth Cain, on March 7, 2003, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He will be remembered as being a loving husband, father and grandfather. Gary was a graduate of Ypsilanti High School, class of 1972 and retired from Ford after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Lenawee County Conservation League and an avid fisherman. Gary also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attended the NASCAR races annually at Michigan International Speedway for his birthday. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Ruth; his children, Angela (Michael) Germain, Cherie (Brent) Armstrong and Sean Viel; a brother, David Cole; grandchildren, Jasmine, Serena, Emily, Deanna, Xavier, Dylan, Alexandria and Aiden; two great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cal and Eleanora.
