Gary Lee French's Obituary
Age 65, of Blackman Township, passed away at his home February 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cherie A. (Mangus), two sons, Zack (Rachel Uphaus) French and Nick French, grandchildren, Quinton and Alexandria French, step-mother, Carol French, brothers, Larry, Leonard, Lance, Scott (Michelle) and Jason (Tammy) French, sister Kerry (Gary) King, special nieces and nephews, Brad, Connor, Alexis, Sadie, Morgan, Miranda and Kylee French, mother-in-law, Ginger Mangus and sister-in-law, Terrie Mangus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J French and Shirley J (Pickett) Wilson and his brother, Michael French. Gary served the nation in the US Navy for four years, was a retiree of the Emergency Room Department at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, spent many hours volunteering with the Athletic Department at East Jackson Community Schools , was an avid bowler and served on the Jackson Board of Directors of the United States Bowling Congress. Mr. French has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the St. Aidans Episcopal Church, 361 East Grove, Michigan Center on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Larry Rubingh officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Military Honors will be rendered at the Memorial Service by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Interment of his cremated remains will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta,
