Genevieve "Jane" Lent's Obituary
Jane Lent, 92, of Brooklyn passed away at Henry Ford Hospice Home on January 15, 2024. Jane’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will follow on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. Pastor Drew Woods will officiate.
Jane was born on December 26, 1931, in Cement City, Michigan to Erle and Marguerite (Abling) Pehlam. Jane married the love of her life, the late Daniel Lent on October 16, 1949, in Napoleon, Michigan. She attended Cement City High School. She then began working at Ford Motor Company in Rawsonville, Michigan in 1950 and stayed for 42 years, retiring in 1992. Jane enjoyed watching The Lawrence Welk Show, meeting at Big Boy for Birthday Club and gathering with her church family on Sundays. She loved to clean and was known for her neatness. Genevieve will be remembered as a caring woman who cherished her family, especially her grandkids.
Jane will be greatly missed by her children, Sandra (Robert) Avery, of Brooklyn, Michiael (Lisa) Lent of Noblesville, IN, Diane (Gary) Wiedmayer of Manchester; grandchildren, Nathan Avery, Lindsay Avery, Hillary McCalla, Jason Wiedmayer, Dieter Wiedmayer, Luke Lent, and Noah Lent; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel, five sisters and seven brothers.
