Hi Grandma! Today Jazz sent Darian and I a message asking what we felt when we heard The Motown song with the temptations. It was so surreal. It was like I closed my eyes, and landed on the pool deck, the entire family there, drinking, celebrating, bbqing, laughing, getting hit by the ice cold cannon ball water from one of the guys. Such absolutely amazing memories. I didn’t want to reopen my eyes. Tomorrow we’re heading to see grandpa. Life is no longer the same for any of us without you, but know you are still here with us and we all know and feel it. Love you grandma so so much.

Hi grandma. Life has not gotten any easier with you gone. I hope you loved the arrangement we brought to you for Christmas. It made us all cry seeing grandpas note there. Aspen talks about you a lot. She cries about you a lot too but I don’t truly think she even understands; she just sees me cry and thinks it’s the right thing to do when talking about grandma geni. This Christmas was so different. We enjoyed each other but you could tell the family traditions are changing. I wish I could talk to you. What can I do to make grandpa feel better? He misses you so much. If you can help make his feet feel better that’d be great…or are you trying to steal him from us? 🤪😉 I love you…my best friend…my silly crazy grandma….happy new year!

I miss you so much. The days seem to get longer and the hurt continues to deepen. I still can’t believe you’re gone. I miss our every day phone calls about nothing, your Caesar salad, your laugh, your smell, swimming with you in the pool, and laughing about who the hell knows what. Grandpa misses you and he hurts. Today he texted me saying he has been looking for a sign from you, and there it was...a gorgeous butterfly that followed him while he planted the garden. It would not leave him alone, he knew it was you. Ha. We are all cherishing your memories. You are going to live forever through our thoughts and dreams, just like we always said. I love you grandma. I miss you. My heart hurts.
