George T. Farr's Obituary
George Thomas Farr, age 102, of Napoleon, Michigan, passed away peacefully at Summit Park Assisted Living, May 30, 2025. George’s family and friends will gather 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025 and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2025 at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. Burial immediately after service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon, Michigan. Pastor Dave Schwartz will serve as celebrant.
George was preceded in death by his dear wife, Aleta of 53 years and an infant son, John R. Farr. He is survived by his children, Tom (Shirley), Roseanne (Mark) Yancey and Carolyn (Randy) Brown; grandchildren, Steven (Jenny), Julie (Aaron), David (Kate), Margaret (Landon) Joe, Greg (Victoria), Kristin (Sean) and 4 great grandchildren.
George retired from Die Cast Corporation and Farming. He was a WWII veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army 25th Division Medical Bn. as first cook in Osaka, Japan. George was life member of the American Legion, current member of Post 324 and D.A.V. Commander’s Club.
George loved his family, farming and the outdoors. He built his own home and helped build his son and daughter’s home. After retiring, he and his wife Aleta, enjoyed traveling. Special thanks to the staff at Summit Park and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care.
