George Douglas McBride's Obituary
McBRIDE, GEORGE DOUGLAS Age 60, of Norvell Township, passed away at his home, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 under the loving care of his family and Allegiance Hospice. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah; parents, Odie and Gladys (Broyles) McBride and sister, Florrie Maga. George is survived by his daughter, Jolena (Walter) Habern; his son, Douglas McBride; four grandchildren, Allisa and Jaycob Meyer, Damara and DeVonta Habern; very special friend, Gayle Clancy; five brothers, Edward, Odie Jr. (Lottie), Allen, Arden (Candy) and Harlan McBride; sister, Sharon (Edward) St. Onge; brother-in-law, Walter Maga; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George was a retiree of Eaton Aeroquip; and a member of the Irish Hills Rod and Gun Club, Boy Scouts of America Troop #432, Jackson Audubon Society; 4-H Club, Moose Lodge #1253 and the UAW Local #475. A Visitation of Remembrance will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from Noon to 2 pm and 4 to 6 pm. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Dinner will be held at Wellington Hall, 3744 E. Michigan Ave. in Jackson at 6 pm.
