George Malcolm Sutton's Obituary
Age 95, Jackson, passed away at his home Friday, August 20, 2021 surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Elara Caring Hospice. He is survived by four children: Kathleen Sutton, Debra (Norman) Soli, Sharon (Tom) Miller and Dan (Brenda) Sutton, six grandchildren: Angela, Kevin, Megan, Lauren, Erin and Megan, great-grandchildren: Levi, Luke, Lydia, Elijah and Pax. He was preceded in death by his wife: Florence, grandson: Josh, brother: Ronald and his parents: Walter E. and Vera B. (maiden-Marcellus) Sutton. Mr. Sutton served the nation in the US Navy, World War II. He was an accomplished musician playing the flute, organ and piano and served as pianist and organist for many years at his Church. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and was a retiree from the Accounting Department at ITT Automotive. He was a member of the Michigan Center Bible Church where a public Memorial Service to honor his life will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11 am with Pastors Zac Luginbill and John Tovey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time. At the conclusion of the Church Services Military Honors will be rendered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Michigan Center Bible Church. Mr. Sutton and his late wife Florence will be interred side by side at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. The family wishes to thank Elara Caring Hospice for their compassionate care of their loved one in his last days.
