George H. Winningham's Obituary
George Henry Winningham, 80, of Jackson, Michigan passed away at home January 17, 2025. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00AM at Horton Road Church of Christ. At a later date the family will hold a memorial service in Bradford, Arkansas where his ashes will be laid to rest at Mardis Cemetery.
George was born on February 22, 1944, in Bradford, Arkansas to Leo and Pauline (Goad) Winningham. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. George was avid reader of Westerns, he loved keeping busy with woodworking projects and repairing vehicles, but most of all he was known to be very proud of his grandchildren. He was a long-time member of the Horton Road Church of Christ.
George will be missed by his daughter, Renae (Kurt) Bancroft ; siblings, Jessie Edwards, Sue Bevier, Diana Bundy and John (Carol) Winningham; grandchildren, Austin and Baylee Bancroft; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Pauline Winningham, son, Lonny Winningham, brothers, Jim and Jack Winningham and sister Betty Snelson.
