Georgia Louise Miller (Steinbrenner)'s Obituary
Miller, Georgia Louise, (Steinbrenner), Age 81, of Jackson was called to heaven to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul David Miller; son, Harold Butler and parents, Ernest and Florence Steinbrenner. Surviving are her daughters: Paula (John) Dempsey, Debra (Robert) Stieneker and Kim (Dan) Morris; five grandchildren: Susan Butler, Robert Butler, Danielle (Mason) McCurley, Matthew (Amber) Morris, Ashley Morris; and five great grandchildren: Logan, Dariyn, Adelyn, Lauren and William. Georgia was born in Jackson, Michigan on June 14, 1934, graduated from Michigan Center High School and was a lifelong resident of Michigan. She was a retiree of Consumers Energy Company, with 25 years of dedicated service in Engineering. As a member of Michigan Center Bible Church, her angelic voice graced many choirs, Christmas programs and Easter Cantatas in Jackson, Midland and Michigan Center throughout her entire life. She enjoyed spending time with family and bowling, golfing and traveling with friends. She was particularly fond of Hawaiian beaches, the ocean, flowers, full moons, birds, Frank Sinatra and George Strait. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all of the friends who visited, called, sent cards, gifts, flowers, sewed and stitched beautiful heartfelt items of support, encouragement, love, care and concern during this very difficult illness. Thank you too, Dr. Malcolm Trimble and the entire Allegiance Oncology Team for extending the precious time we were able to enjoy Georgia because of your skill, expertise and caring attitudes. We also wish to thank Allegiance Hospice Home for the kind, caring, warm and comfortable environment they provided during her last few days. The void she leaves is immeasurable. However, we are so grateful and fortunate that she left us with hearts overflowing with treasured memories of her loyal, unconditional, supportive, warm, caring, loving, kind and beautiful spirit. At her request, cremation has occurred. A memorial celebration of her life is planned for May 7, 2016 at 11 am at the Michigan Center Bible Church, 150 Broad Street, Michigan Center, MI 49254, Pastor John Tovey officiating. A luncheon and visitation will immediately follow the service at the church. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery during a private ceremony.
