Gerald Richard Dorer's Obituary
Gerald Richard Dorer, 83, of Cement City passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Jerry’s family and friends will gather Friday, December 8, 2023 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel (Formerly Arthur-Day Funeral Home). His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am following the visitation. Pastor Ned Bernstein will serve as celebrant.
He was born on February 27, 1940, in Michigan Center, Michigan to Clarence and Mildred (Abbott) Dorer. Jerry married the love of his life, Teresa Adams in 1975 in Jackson, Michigan. They had 48 wonderful years together. He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, that loved to hunt and fish. In his earlier years, he took annual trips up north to hunt. He had the gift of gab and loved to tell stories. Jerry was a Nascar fan and enjoyed watching sports on television, especially the WWE. Above all he cherished his time spent with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Teresa; his children, Jerry (Lisa) Dorer, Jr., Troy Dorer and Tara (Aaron) Eppard; siblings, Joe Dorer and Carolyn Dingee; grandchildren Dylan, Tiffany, Ashton, Aydon, and Trinity; one great granddaughter Magnolia Grace; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mildred, and a daughter, Wanda.
