Gerald Albert Rensi's Obituary
Jerry Rensi age 81, passed away on December 25th, 2023. He was born November 20, 1942 in Detroit, MI, the son of Albert and Angeline Rensi. He was married to his wife, Celeste for 47-years.
He worked at Detroit Edison for 38-years. Jerry enjoyed the simple things in life: camping Up North, volunteering, fishing, and sitting by a campfire. He loved nature and enjoyed the sunrises. Jerry served his country in the Army and had a deep faith in Christ. He attended St. Alfred Catholic Church in Taylor, MI most of his life until moving to Brooklyn, MI where he attended St. Rita’s Catholic Church. Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph’s Shrine.
He is survived by his children, son Edward (Heather) Rensi, daughters Julie (Brian) Blasko, Monica (Greg) Howes, and eight grandchildren, Alexander, Aiden, Benjamin, Luke, Quentin, Xavier, Hazel, and Winston. Sister, Marie Rensi, and Brother and Sister-in-Law, Richard (Janet) Rensi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother (David) and his wife Celeste. He was greeted in heaven by Jesus and his loved ones.
Visitation will be held at Eineder Funeral Home- Brooklyn Chapel in Brooklyn, MI on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 2-7pm with a scripture service beginning at 7:00 pm. Deacon Chris Vida presiding. Funeral services with be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11am at St. Rita’s Catholic Church following visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Father Tom Helfrich, OSFS to serve as celebrant. A private burial service will be held on at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery, Brownstown, MI. Contributions may be sent to the
