Gernie "G.G." Marsh's Obituary
Gernie Mae Marsh, 80, of Manitou Beach, Michigan, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at home with her loved ones by her side. Gernie’s family and friends will gather Friday, November 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Her daughter, Theresa Curtis, will serve as officiant.
She was born on July 21, 1945, in Reedsville, West Virginia, to Charles and Helena (Waldron) Wigley. She will be remembered as a very giving, loving person that became a part of everyone’s lives that she met. Gernie graduated from Onsted High School and spent the majority of her life waitressing or greeting at East Side Meijers. She was lovingly known as the “hostess with the mostess”. Gernie had a terrific sense of humor and could sometimes be a little spicy. She enjoyed gardening and shopping. Gernie and Marv became Power Glide groupies. She always found time to attend the grandchildren’s school functions and watch her granddaughter walk in parades in the band. Gernie had special names for all her family. She and Marv, also, attended the senior lunches in Napoleon and Michigan Center. Gernie was strong in her faith and attended the Cascade Fellowship Church regularly. She will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her little dog “Summit”.
