Gertrude Ethel 'Trudy' Whalen's Obituary
Age 90, of Rives Township, passed away at her home November 2, 2015 under the devoted care of the family and Allegiance Hospice. She is survived by her son, Gerald L. Reynolds, grandchildren, Billy, Mark, Andrew, Gerad, Renay, Heather, Amy and Bryan, several great-grandchildren, brother Robert Chitwood, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Billy Gene Reynolds, husband Ben Whalen, grandson Ronald Reynolds, brothers Harold, Eugene and Roy Chitwood and her parents, Leon and Mary (maiden-Laxton) Chitwood. She operated her own Cosmetology and Hairdressing business out of her home for many years and enjoyed gardening, music and landscaping her property. She was a member of Grace Church. Mrs. Whalen has been cremated and no services will be held. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Allegiance Hospice.
