Glenn I. Steffey's Obituary
Age 87, of Summit Township, passed away January 8, 2016 at the Allegiance Hospice Home. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Melvina L. (maiden-Kelley) Steffey, thee children; David (Ruth 'Jan') Steffey, Faith Ann (Scott) McKelvey and Ambersine Marie (Ronald) Kiefer, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers, John (Dee) Steffey , Donald (Sally) Steffey, many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Irving and Ida (maiden-Pierce) Steffey. Glenn served the nation in the US Army during the Korean War, retired after a 30 year career as a glazier at Jackson Glass Works, was a former Boy Scout Leader with Troop 330, Jackson, MI, and was a dedicated Life Member of Lodge #17 (formerly Coolidge Lodge #532) Free and Accepted Masons, serving as the Coolidge Lodge Treasurer for 17 years. A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held at the Brookside United Methodist Church, 4000 Francis Street, Jackson on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at noon with Rev. Ron Brooks officiating. Glenn will be honored with a Masonic Memorial Service, followed by the church services and ending with Military Honors offered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time. Contributions in his memory are directed to Lodge #17, F. & A.M.
