Gloria Elizabeth Brown (Bethel, Knoll)'s Obituary
Age 91, of Jackson, MI, passed away December 28, 2014 at Countryside Care Center. She is survived by two children; Jerry (Jean) Bethel and Beverly (Terry) Carter, daughter-in-law; Shirley Bethel-Smith, two step-children; Marcia (Ron) Novak and Paul (Sue) Brown, half-brother Louis Stettler, and numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three husbands; Ellis Knoll, Marvin Bethel and Alton Brown, her son; Carl Bethel, two step-children; Denise Barber and David Brown, two grandchildren; Brian Bethel and Hillary Barber. She loved to travel and take cruises, enjoyed water skiing, quilting, sewing, playing dice and card games, arts, crafts and painting watercolors. She most treasured the time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren who loved her dearly. Mrs. Brown has been cremated. A celebration of life and Luncheon will be held at the Cascades Manor House, 1970 Kibby Road, Jackson on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 am. Father Tom Helfrich, O.S.F.S. of St. Rita's Catholic Church will officiate. Her loved ones would like to thank the staff at Countryside Care Center for their compassionate care and Martha Smoyer, the Countryside Activities director for her support. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of choice in Gloria's honor.
