Grace Edna Mulnix's Obituary
Grace (Wetherby) Mulnix, beloved mother, passed away May 5, 2023. Grace was a lifelong resident of Liberty Township, born to Perry and Lula (Sutfin) Wetherby in June, 1926. She was a graduate of Cement City High School. She was married to John “Jack” Mulnix for 65 years, until his passing in 2016. They were loving parents to three children.
Grace attended the Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty. She started attending as a young girl with her Grandma Ella. Her church community, family and quilting were always an important part of her life.
Grace is survived by her children, Dennis (Gloria) Mulnix of Albuquerque, NM, Duane (Patty) Mulnix of Statesboro, GA and Sally Mulnix of Cement City, MI; her grandchildren, Patrick Mulnix, Sierra Wright; step-grandchildren Arthur Samora, Diatralynn Mulnix; one great-grandson Micah John Wright; and sisters Mary McUmber and Nancy Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Lee and Perry Day and sisters Clara May Miller and Nora Jean Verspoor.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brightside Assisted Living and her hospice caregivers for their loving care of our mother. No services are planned.
