Grant Mitchell Smith's Obituary
Grant Mitchell Smith, 39, of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side, Saturday, March 16, 2024. Grant’s family and friends will gather Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 am following visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel.
He was born on November 21, 1984, in Denver, Colorado to Dale and Laura (Nash) Smith. He will be remembered as a loyal, caring man with a gentle heart that loved deeply and a beautiful smile. Grant loved everyone and had a terrific sense of humor. He was a Columbia High School graduate, class of 2003. Grant was very passionate about cooking, spending many years as a Sous Chef at Jolly Pumpkin. He also enjoyed gardening, farming, and golf. Above all he cherished his time with his long-time life partner, Katie and his beloved dog, Lila. Grant will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Grant is survived by his life partner, Katie Miller; his mother, Laura Smith; sisters, Jennifer (Chris) Gowan, Alexis (Alex) Denato and Holly Smith; two nieces, Sawyer and Ridgley Gowan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Dale Smith and a nephew, Aiden Gowan.
