Rex was a 10 year Veteran of the U.S. Navy. After returning home, he worked nights at Gramer's Chocolates and for a few years, joined his brothers Bud and Clarence as a Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy. Rex then went on to have a career with the State of Michigan Prison System, retiring as Power Plant Supervisor.
He was past president and a long time member of the Michigan Center Lions Club and Life Member of the American Legion Rose City Post #324. Rex enjoyed golfing and being on the water, especially here on the chain of lakes; for him, the faster the boat, the better it was!

A luncheon gathering will immediately follow at the Michigan Center Lions Clubhouse until 4 pm. Interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
