Harlan Page Rice's Obituary
Harlan Page Rice, 89, passed away on March 22, 2021. He was born on March 27, 1931, in Boscobel, Wisconsin to Oliver Rice and Estelle (Walker) Rice. Harlan married the love of his life, Beverly Waters, on January 15, 1955, in Boscobel, Wisconsin. Harlan worked at Clark Equipment for nearly 20 years before opening his own business, H.C. Rice Lawncare, which served the greater Brooklyn area for over 20 years. Harlan loved spending time with his dog “Bear”; traveling; camping and fishing; watching Westerns and WWE wrestling. Most of all, Harlan enjoyed spending time with his family.
Harlan will be missed by his children, Timothy Rice, James (Nancy) Rice, Steven Rice, Sandra Conard, and Christy (Merry) Rice; his sister Alice Russell; his grandchildren James Rice II, Janelle Zuniga, Christina Witt, Jessy Conard, Ricky Conard, Joshua Rice, Tyler Warren, Megan Bauder; numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; a daughter, Vicki Rice; a sister Lucille Rice; a brother-in-law Bernard Russell and his parents.
Harlan’s family and friends will gather from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26th and again from 10:00 – 11:00 on Saturday, March 27th at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will be held on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. Pastor John Reed will officiate. Due to current COVID mandates, masks will be required and social distancing will be observed. Room capacities will also be limited due to current state COVID mandates.
