Harry Lee Herman's Obituary
Aged 87, of Michigan Center, passed away at his home, Thursday, November 24, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Jean Herman; four children, Pamela (Daniel) McCave, Mark (Beverly) Herman, Paula (William) Placher Jr. and Peggy (Daniel) Goostrey; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and his sister, Virginia Stover. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Alice (Sunday) Herman. Harry was a veteran of the US Army, retired from Clark Equipment Company after 36 years of service and was a member of the American Legion Rose City Post, the Michigan Center Lions and the Clark Equipment Retirees Club. He enjoyed time spent with his family, horseshoes, euchre and growing giant pumpkins just as his father had done. As was his request, donation has been made to the University of Michigan Medical School. Interment with military honors will take place at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery. A Celebration of Harry's Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. at the American Legion Rose City Post, 1190 Falahee Road, Jackson, MI .
