Hazel was born on March 2, 1930, in Frakes, KY, to Foster and Bertha (Partin) Wilson. She graduated from Bell County High School. Hazel married the love of her life, Steve Kukulka, on December 22, 1952, in Indiana. While her children were young, she was a homemaker. As they aged, Hazel found work at Michigan Seat (known as Milsco-Michigan today) as a factory worker and as a cook in a couple restaurants. She loved planting flowers and sewing. Hazel was wonderful at creating crafts with yarn through sewing, crocheting and knitting; making quilts, oven mitts and many other useful tools for around the house. Most importantly, she loved her family. Hazel was very family orientated. She enjoyed visiting family members near or far and always keeping connected. Hazel was the kind of person who you could always count on to help you out. She will be remembered as a loving, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who had a big heart.
Hazel will be missed by her children, Gary Kukulka, Bille Rimer and Dave (Lorie) Kukulka; her siblings, Jewell (Bill) Long, Jeanne Mills and Dennie Wilson; her grandchildren, Autumn, Arin, Tess, Neal, Emilee, and Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Scarlett, Charlotte, Maddie, Oaklynn and Lily; many nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
