Helen Anne Marsh's Obituary
Helen Anne Marsh, 91, formerly of Clark Lake, Michigan, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Helen’s family and friends will gather Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., at St. Rita Catholic Church, with her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Tom Helfrich OSFS and Rev. Fr. Bosco Padamattummal will concelebrant. A private interment will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
She was born on October 8, 1934, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Charles and Esther (Stachlewitz) Francis. Helen married the love of her life, the late, Michael Marsh Sr., on July 3, 1964, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. They had 51 wonderful years together, until his passing in 2016. She will be remembered as a very private person that was very strong in her faith. Helen was very charismatic, and generous to a fault. Always willing to help those in need. Her love language was shopping for pretty things. She also had an enormous sweet tooth for all things CHOCOLATE. Before meeting Michael, she strongly considered being a Cloistered Contemplative Nun. They spent many years camping with the family and had legendary road trips. Helen was always open minded and would try anything her children were interested in; things she would never do on her own, but would try, to be a part of their lives. She made a point to be present at family events and holiday gatherings. Helen was well known for her eye rolling. Helen loved to decorate for the holidays, whether at home or on one of their camping trips. She did enjoy baking, but most of all she cherished her time with her family and worship. Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Helen is survived by her children, Michele (Samir) Hamid, Michael Marsh II, Sheila Stanley, Jason Marsh, Melissa Lowell and Barry (Kristen) Marsh; her grandchildren, Joshua, Nichole, Alicia, Sarah, Torri, Barry, David, Collin, Renee, Nathaniel, Emily, Evan, Brittany, Mark, Anthony, David, Marissa, Olivia, Andrew, Adam, Noah, Zachariah, Curtis, Ethan, Elijah, Samantha and Joey; and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Esther; her husband, Michael; her son, Adrian Marsh; and her son-in-law, Curt Stanley.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Rita Catholic Church. Please leave a message of comfort for Helen’s family or sign her guestbook at https://www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
