Henriette B Wolvin's Obituary
Age 80, of Michigan Center, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 under the loving care of her family and the staff at Henry Ford Hospice Home. Henriette was born on October 5, 1941 in Jackson, the daughter of Edwin and Lucille (Ritter) Graffa. She graduated from East Jackson High School in 1959. In 1960 at Sycamore Baptist Church, Henriette married her sweetheart since the 7th grade, Jack Wolvin who passed away in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lance in 2015; her parents; two sisters, Jennifer McKinnon and Sharlene Morgan; and brother, Bryan Graffa.
Henriette is survived by four children, Steve (Teri) Wolvin of Michigan Center, Connie (Joe) Hamp of Jackson, Scott Wolvin of Jackson and Jackie (Mark) Bostwick of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Henriette worked at the Chicken Inn for 37 years as manager and cook; she truly loved her career there and took great pride in her job. She also worked a few years at Automatic Microfilm for the Urbaniak family. She loved watching and supporting the Detroit Pistons and Michigan State Spartans. She and Jack bowled in mixed doubles leagues for many years. Henriette enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and especially times of family get-togethers.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held. A public time to share memories and celebrate Henriette's life with her family will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. For those who wish, contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the Henry Ford Hospice Home.
