Howard Douglass Hatt's Obituary
Howard Douglass Hatt, 71, of Manchester passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 peacefully at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on April 13, 1954, in Pontiac, Michigan to Howard and Norine (McCleish) Hatt. Doug married Andrea Ranger, on October 25, 1990, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Doug graduated from Alcona Community High School and Central Michigan University. Besides his unwavering commitment to caring for and loving his family, Doug was a soulful guitar player and musician. In his younger days, he played guitar in various blues and rock & roll bands, mainly with the friends he grew up with in Alcona County, Michigan. He continued creating instrumental recordings at his home studio in Manchester. As an extension of his artistic and musical talents, Doug created fabulous mix tapes for family and friends along with making beautiful cards/collages. He enjoyed feeding the birds and caring for the family cats and always utterly appreciated the wondrous gifts of nature.
In loving celebration of one of Doug’s life passions – seeking and embodying truth, harmony and peace, may these words serve to honor his brilliant vibrant soul: “You are Eternity. You are Fathomless Space. You are the essence of the whole universe. You are the sky, the sun, the moon, the flowers, the animals, the insects, human beings; you’re everything. This is your real nature. No one ever dies.” - Robert Adams
Doug is survived by his wife, Andrea; his son, Samuel Hatt; brother, Brian Hatt; cousins and a niece and nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Hatt.
Memorial contributions are suggested to your local Humane Society. Please leave a message of comfort for Doug’s family or sign his guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
