Howard Harrison Huntoon's Obituary
Age 93, of Summit Township, passed away Wednesday December 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loved ones and under the care of Mid-Michigan Home Care and Hospice. He was born in Jackson, Michigan on Tuesday, February 28, 1928 to the late Daniel and Mildred (Pierce) Huntoon. He is survived by his wife of 40 years; Sharon Lee (Hughes) Huntoon, daughter; Danette Flamm, step-children; Richard (Denise) Cooper, Tim Cooper and Melissa (Dennis) Burl, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son; Daniel, granddaughter; Kimberly Lodziniski, brothers; Harvey and Carl Huntoon and his sister; Shirley Walker. Howard was former owner of Huntoon Excavating, a longtime skilled area carpenter and was a gifted woodworker. He belonged to the Vandercook Baptist Church (703 East McDevitt Ave, Jackson, MI 49203) where services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11 am with Pastor Kyle Vegter officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.
