Jacqueline A. Illi's Obituary
Age 77, of Jackson, formerly of Ann Arbor, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 under the care of the staff at Legacy Assisted Living Center and Allegiance Hospice. Jackie's family would especially like to thank Jason from Legacy for going above and beyond in the care given to her. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Illi Sr. in 2012, sister, Judy Nelson, brother-in-law, Danny Illi who was killed in action in Vietnam and nephew, Jan David McGee. She is survived by her four children, Lisa Brannock of Jackson, Dana (John) Jenick of New Castle, CO, Gina (Dan) Lobbestael of Napoleon Township and Ronald ""Chip"" (Lisa) Illi, Jr., of Albion; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Brannock, Zachry and Tommy Lobbestael, Katherine (Stephen) Subu, Lauren and Audrey Illi; one great-granddaughter, Vivian Subu; three brothers, Jean (Janice) McGee of Jackson, Jan McGee of Standpoint, ID and Jim (Claudine) McGee of Laguna Niguel, CA; in-laws, David Illi and Mary (Bill) Nuffer; many nieces and nephews. Jackie graduated from Redford High School in Detroit and in 1956 was married to Ron. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and spending summers with family at Torch Lake. After her children were grown, Jackie went to work for Booth Newspapers, retiring after nearly 20 years of service. She was active with the Jaycees, was an avid card player, especially Bridge and was a fan of both Tiger Baseball and U of M Football. Cremation has taken place and a time to Celebrate and Remember Jackie's life will take place at Sandhill Crane Vineyards, 4724 Walz Road, Jackson, MI 49201 (517-764-0679) on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, with food, beverage and stories to be shared. For those who wish, contributions in Jackie's memory may be given to Allegiance Hospice or The American Diabetes Association.
