Jacquelyn Anne Smith's Obituary
Jacquelyn Anne Smith (Shannon), age 75, was granted final rest, relief, and peace by God’s Grace on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. Jacquelyn’s family and friends will gather Saturday, May 6th, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for visitation at Eineder Funeral Homes’ Michigan Center Chapel (formerly Arthur-Day Funeral Home). Her funeral service will be immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Her cousin, Matthew Shannon, will serve as Celebrant.
Jacquelyn was born on June 17, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan to John and Annie (Bielanski) Shannon. She was a true girl from Michigan Center all her life, and was a proud graduate of Michigan Center High School Class of 1965, where she loved singing in the choir. She was deeply comforted by her Catholic faith with a special devotion to the Virgin Mary. Jacquelyn had wonderful personal taste, and loved home decorating and collecting antiques, and was amazing at Free Cell solitaire and held several high scores. She also loved watching Turner Classic Movies and sewing crafts which she would sell at local craft shows. She learned to be the phenomenal cook that she was from her father, Jack. Jacquelyn adored her dog Scooter who passed away a few years ago. Now they are together again. Jacquelyn’s favorite flower were roses. Her favorite color was pink.
Jacquelyn was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is loved and will be missed by her children, April Mannor, grandson Chadwin Burke, great-grandsons Tytus, Tryston, and a future great-grandbaby on the way; Julie Jenkins; Cortney (Kevin) Cujar (Smith); siblings, Carol (Jack) Shannon-Cowherd, Michael (Elaine) Shannon, Mark Shannon, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Shannon.
