James L. ""Pee Wee"" Alcock's Obituary
Age 84, of Blackman Township, passed away February 6, 2016 at home surrounded by family. Jim is survived by his wife Phyllis E. (Thomas) Alcock; four children, Debra Rice, Craig (Victoria) Alcock, Janice (David) Lichtensteiger and Matthew Alcock; 12 grandchildren, Brent, Derek, Brandon, Mica, Robert, Chelsea, Lauren, Thomas, Leah, Travis, Kyle and Mickinzy; 9 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Lucy, Kaleighana, Rhaya, Ramsey, Mari, Robert Jr., Kayden and Ethan; his sister, Barbara Roberts and sister-in-law, Margaret Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miles H. and Geneva C. (Rudolph) Alcock and several in-laws from the Thomas family. Jim was a Veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was then employed for 28 years with the Clark Equipment Co. Jim was the owner of Jim's Tax Service for nearly 50 years. He was a member of the Loomis Park Baptist Church, 2301 N. Elm St. in Jackson where services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Rich Zawadzki officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon. For those who wish, contributions in his memory may be made to the Loomis Park Baptist Church.
