James Bryson's Obituary
BRYSON, JAMES Age 83, of Jackson, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, January 25, 2014. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia; three children, Colleen Austin of Orchard Lake, MI, Carol Ann (Bill) Moody of Lancaster, PA and Patrick ""Boomer"" Bryson of Jackson; two granddaughters, Kate and Sarah Moody; ""adopted"" family, Matthew Rudolph and Adam Pomerville; brother, Daniel (Jody) Bryson of Sparks, NV; in-laws, Tom and Dick Williams, Barb Richardson and Marge Laskey; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Herzberg. Jim was a Naval Veteran of the Korean War, serving on the USS Midway. He was a 42 year employee of Consumers Power; he also worked nearly 15 years at Tiger Town in Lakeland, FL for the Detroit Tigers Spring Training seasons. For 57 years, Jim has been a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Michigan Center. Above all else, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass to celebrate Jim's life will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11:00 am with Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. For those who wish, contributions may be given in Jim's memory to the Fatima Building Fund.
