James G. Furman's Obituary
Age 73, of Blackman Twp., formerly of Michigan Center, passed away at his home under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice January 29, 2015. He is survived by two sons, Dan and Timothy (Susan) Furman; daughter-in-law, Becky Furman; four grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Brennan and Bryce Furman; special niece, Cindy (TJ) Johnson and her children, Kristin (Charles) Thompson and Jordan Wyers; two brothers, Bill and Don Furman; sister, Mary Hinton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; son, Scot; parents, Frederick and Lottie (maiden-Browder) Furman; brother, Chuck Furman and sister, Janet Ash. Mr. Furman retired from Kelsey-Hayes after 34 years of service, loved going to horse races and playing pool; he was a devoted family man and had coached his three sons in many sports. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11 am with Rev. Richard Brooks officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
