James Leo Geer's Obituary
James (Jim) Geer passed away June 16, 2023 at home with family by his side, the day after his 84th birthday. Jim was born in Chelsea, Michigan the seventh of eight children of William and Alura Geer. Jim was retired from the Ford Motor Company Saline Plant; and before that supported his community as a volunteer fire fighter with the Irish Hills Fire Department, and served as a ski patrol at the Irish Hills Ski Lodge.
Jim loved to fly, as an amateur pilot or his remote-controlled model planes. When he wasn’t tinkering in the garage or with computers, he loved being with his family. He always said he lived a full life with no regrets.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary; brother, David Geer; son, Michael (Wendy) Geer; and daughters, Cindy Geer, Teri (Rick) Rinal, Evie Denudt, Amy Renz and Jackie Kern; and his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, William Geer; mother, Alura Geer-Foster; and siblings, John, Catherine Geer-Romine, Joseph, Allen, Sara, Robert, and a granddaughter, Heather.
