James L. Rappleye's Obituary
Age 92, of Leoni Township, passed away at the Vista Grande Villa Care Center on Sunday, September 20, 2015. He is survived by two children, Joyce A. (George) McCaslin and Mary Lucille Amanati; four grandchildren, Tara (Jerome) Hall, Scott, Troy and Jason Showerman; three great-grandchildren, Jacob (Kortney) Showerman, Cody and Brittney Southwell; one great-great-grandson, Isaac Showerman; siblings, Willard Rappleye and Margret Tobbin; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Rappleye; son, Maurice J. Guilfoil and siblings, Mary Eisele and Donald Rappleye. Jim was a Veteran of the Army, serving in World War II. He was a retiree of Aeroquip and had been active with the American Legion Rose City Post #324. Services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 11:00 am with Father Tim MacDonald officiating. Interment St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 pm. Military Honors will be provided by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Contributions in his memory are directed to Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
