James A. Rowley's Obituary
Rowley, James A., Sr. Age 82, of Napoleon Township, passed away November 4, 2013 at the Countryside Care Center. He is survived by three children, Denise M. Rowley, Kathleen M. Rowley and Timothy M. (Cathy Coplin) Rowley, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one brother, Thomas D. Rowley. He was preceded in death by his three wives, Marilyn, Ruth and Donna Rowley son James Rowley Jr., two brothers Melvin C. and David C. and three sisters, Sylvia McMahon, Beverly Frazier and Suzanne Boone. He was a retiree of General Products, former employee of Melling Tool and Die, Central Machine and General Products. He was a 47 year member of the Jackson Moose Lodge #156 serving as Governor, Secretary and receiving the Pilgrim Degree, member of the American Legion Richard Smith Post #29, Forty and Eight Voiture #746, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4087 in Marion, MI, and the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post #83. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and served many years offering military honors to hundreds of his fallen comrades as a devoted member of the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11 am with Rev. Kerry Snyder officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Military honors will be offered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Contributions in his memory are directed to the American Legion Richard Smith Post #29.
