Janet L. Avery's Obituary
Age 77, of Lake Somerset, formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alec L. in 1999; four sisters, Joy Omo, Barbara Joyce Avery, Robin Leinaar and Nancy Brockway; brother, Mike Leinaar and one great-grandchild. Janet is survived by four children, Tina (Fred) Vos of Lake Somerset, Steven (Margaret) Avery of Jackson, Alec L. Avery of Lake Somerset and Jason (Doretta) Avery of Jackson; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Nelson, Barbara May Leinaar and Karen Nimitz; two brothers, Mark and Bill Leinaar; many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Services to celebrate Janet's life will be held at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, 361 E. Grove, Michigan Center, MI 49254 on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Chuck Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Leoni Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Aidan's Church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
