Janie was born on April 24, 1945, in Pollard, Arkansas to Harold and Kathryn (Smith) Davis. Janie married the love of her life, Donald, in 1963, at the Bethlehem Methodist Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Don and Janie spent more than 56 years happily married. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Family was the center of everything she enjoyed. Janie was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed cooking for the family, especially at the holidays. Janie made sure her home was filled with laughter and happiness. She was known to have given extra special hugs, considering that she would usually slip you a $20 bill along with that hug! Janie was very proud of her job. She loved to work for the Red Cross, which involved training and administrative duties. In addition to her family and career, Janie had somewhat of an adventurous side. She enjoyed flying small Cessna planes in Ann Arbor and Hot Springs, Arkansas. She enjoyed Bowling with friends in local leagues and family motorcycle outings.
