Jeremiah Joseph Winchell's Obituary
Jeremiah Winchell, 13, of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. Jeremiah’s family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering, Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Heart O’ the Lakes Church – Jackson Campus. An interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Chapel Cemetery in Jackson, Michigan.
Jeremiah was born on February 12, 2010, in Jackson, Michigan, to Jason Winchell and Rebecca (VanZandt) Klein. He will be remembered for his beautiful bright smile that lit up the room, his red hair, and his wonderful attitude toward all his health struggles. Jeremiah was always happy, as he fought through his challenges. He loved to watch movies and listen to music. He also enjoyed being read to by his home nurse, Marjorie Hirth. Jeremiah had a contagious laugh, and a mischievous personality with a heart-melting smirk.
Jeremiah will be missed by his parents, Jason Winchell, and Rebecca (Kurt) Klein; sister, Rebecca; grandparents, Marlin (Cindy) Winchell, Natalie DeRousse, and David Klein; nieces, Serenity, and Grace; aunts, Jennifer (Brad) and Sarah (CJ); uncle, Aaron (Michel) Winchell; cousins, Colton, Raelynn, Caine, and Wesleigh; many other great aunts, great uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandmothers, Vicki, Winchell, and Kathy Klein; great grandparents, Fred (Jackie) Taylor, Ardith Sprague, and Jack (Jacque) VanZandt.
