Jerry E. Baker's Obituary
Age 81, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 1993; son, Doyle in 2012 and siblings, Bob, Dick, Glenna and Donna. Jerry is survived by his son, Randy; dear friend, Kaye Swann-Peterson, both of Jackson; brother, Ronald (Pat) Baker of Idaho; many nieces, nephews and close friends. He served many years with the Army National Guard. Jerry worked at Clark Equipment, Miller Industries and retired from Seymour Ford as a driver with 17 years of service. He loved singing and playing Bluegrass and Gospel music. Jerry enjoyed his weekly jam sessions at the Eagles #612 and playing at rest homes around Jackson County. He was a member of Clinton Road Bible Baptist Church, 4401 Van Horn Road, Jackson, MI 49201 (across from Northwest High School) where a Memorial Service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Chris Biggs officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. For those who wish, contributions in Jerry's memory to his family for their needs and wishes would be appreciated.
