Jerry B. Stone's Obituary
Age 73, of Jackson, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 under the care of the wonderful staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
Jerry is survived by his beloved family, his wife of 52 years, Marcia; two sons, Todd (Jereme) Stone of North Carolina and Brian Stone of Jackson; granddaughter, Skyler Stone and grandson, Crew Stone, both of North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Sue Land and Sallye (Tom) Condon; nieces, Susan, Ellen, Karyn and Sarah and nephew, Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Lucille (Lincoln) Stone.
Jerry was a graduate of Michigan Center High School. He went on to have a career in the manufacturing sector, working for Yo Manufacturing, Clark Equipment and then many years with the Melling Manufacturing family of companies. His many hobbies including trapping, hunting, camping and boating; but over and above those, Jerry was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the South Central Michigan Bass Casters where he qualified for many state and national level tournaments. His favorite place to be when he wasn't at home was Houghton Lake.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor Jerry's life will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Larry Rubingh officiating. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon will follow the services. Family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 pm.
