Joan D. Spicer's Obituary
Age 93, of Leoni Township, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by four children, Linda (David) Doremus, Sue Ann (John) Rositzke, Arthur Spicer, and Kenneth (Marianne) Spicer; numerous grand, great-grand, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Alice Taylor and Melba Ruoff.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilmot "Mutt" Spicer; sister, Barbara Burley and parents, Harold and Dorothy Hayes. Joan was a longtime clerk and board member of Leoni Township and was co-owner of Spicer Builders. She volunteered countless hours with her church, A.B.W.A and Kiwanis.
Joan was a member of Grass Lake United Methodist Church, 449 East Michigan Avenue, Grass Lake, MI 49240, where a Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Noon, visitation starting at 11:00 am. Her cremated remains will be interred at Leoni Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be directed to Elara Caring Hospice, 730 Riverside Ave, Adrian, MI 49221, to her church or a charity of your choice.
