Joan Truman's Obituary
Age 85, of Jackson, born April 13, 1931, raised in Williamston, MI, formerly of Clark Lake, Muir Lake and Jackson. Passed away February 27, 2017 from complications of Pneumonia under the care of Jackson County Medical Care Facility. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ernest J. Truman Sr., three children, Tracy Kemmer, Dayna Truman and Ernest J. Truman Jr., two grandchildren, Jessica (Nathan) Pepper and Nick (Lindsay) Rudolph, four great-grandchildren, Colton and Reagan Pepper, Braison and Lainey Rudolph, her sister, Nancy Baxter, sister in law, Helen Barrett, several nieces and nephews, her beloved cat Dusty and best friend and past co-worker, Dorothy from Adrian. She was preceded in death by her brother Teddy Baxter and her parents, Theodore and Mary (Grill) Baxter. She retired from the General Motors Inland Adrian Plant, and was known as "Joanie" to her co-workers. While retired her favorite passion was planting trees and ornate gardening practices. She received her (Arborist Certificate) after completing the required courses thru a local Michigan State Arborist Program. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved attending her grandchildren's activities, was always the bedrock of the family. Mrs. Truman has been cremated. Private Family Services will be held at Summit Cemetery in Williamston.
