Joanne E. Carris' Obituary
Age 85, of Napoleon, passed away at Faith Haven Senior Care Centre on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Joanne was born at Jackson on August 30, 1936, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (Carlisle) Globensky. In 1958, she was married to Claude E. Carris; they shared 52 years of marriage before he passed in 2010.
Joanne is survived by four sons, Whitney (Carmen), David (Debra), Claude Jr. (Roxann) and Brian Carris; five grandsons, Justin, Chad, Dennis, Billy and Eric; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruthann Mayo; brothers, Lloyd "Tink", George and Lewis Globensky; two half-brothers; sisters-in-law, Laura and Donna Carris; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; parents, Lawrence and Ruth; step-mother, Ovenda Burns; sister, Luetta Burns and many Carris family members.
Joanne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, country music, working crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Her caring ways followed her throughout her career as a Registered Nurse; she cared for patients at Mercy Hospital, Foote Hospital and she retired from Allegiance Health.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor Joanne's life will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 am with Reverend Larry Rubingh officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and her ashes will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon following the services.
