John Lawrence Bader's Obituary
Age 73 of Chelsea, passed away July 21, 2016 under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice. He was born September 22, 1942 to John Luke "Jack" and Ann Kathryn "Kate" (Ruh) Bader. He was married to Dolores J. Burwell in 1963 welcoming three children into the world, Timothy John, Laura Kaye and Rebecca Ann. He married Phyllis Owen in 2016. Besides his wife he is survived by his father, John Luke "Jack", daughters, Laura Kaye (Rick Hurst) Grace and Rebecca Ann Bader and her husband Randy Mullins, grandchildren, David T. and Jessica L, great-grandson L.D. He will be happily received in heaven by his mother Kate, brother Michael Gene, sister Joyce Lillian, son Timothy John, Granny Hill, as well as a small herd of dogs that have crossed Rainbow Bridge waiting to greet him. His big smile, sense of humor and willingness to share his infinite knowledge will be missed by many friends and family. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 41 years, pursued many hobbies and interests through formal and hands on learning. He founded the Lucky Cloverleafs, was VP of Lansing Callers and Cuers Association, former President of Jackson Single Squares, was a Master Mason in Livingston Lodge #76, F. & A.M., Pinckney and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #612, 301 Detroit Street, Jackson, MI where a Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 2:00pm with Chaplain Mike Owen, USAF officiating. John would like any contributions in his memory be given to the SNAP Program at the Cascades Humane Society.
