John Clark Burt's Obituary
John Clark Burt, 83, of Parma Township, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side, Wednesday, December 14, 2022. John was born in Jackson, Michigan on October 1, 1939 to the late Roy and Nora (Snyder) Burt.
He is survived by two children, Michael (Michelle) Burt and Kelly (Michael) Taber; four grandchildren, Brody Burt, JT Taber, Mikayla Burt and Samuel Taber; a brother, Ronald (Linda)Burt; nieces and nephews, Matt (Sue) Burt, Amanda Burt, Holli (Adam) Wygant and Kathy Smith. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Kay (Little) Burt in 2008 and his brother, Homer Burt who was killed in action in the Korean War and a grandson, Johnathan Huizar.
John had a career working as a machinist in hydraulic cylinders. Before finding his career, he moved houses, worked on farms, was a substitute bus driver and was a caretaker at the tower at Vandercook Lake. He was a devoted “hobby” farmer and enjoyed raising livestock. He tinkered with tractors and loved to attend tractor shows.
John’s family and friends can gather Wednesday evening December 21, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes (formerly Arthur Day Funeral Home) and Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm with the funeral service at 6:00 pm. Linda Carmoney will officiate.
He and his beloved late wife will be laid to rest together at a private interment service at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
