John M. Cassidy, born on October 20, 1954, in Jackson, Michigan, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2024, in Jackson, Michigan, at the age of 69. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, whether it was having a picnic in the park, attending parades, or attending his grandkids' school functions.
John had a passion for hard rock and roll music and was known for engaging in lively debates about politics while watching CNN and Fox News. He also had strong spiritual ties and was always ready for a discussion on the interpretation of the Bible.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, AnnG (Richardson) Cassidy, his daughters Elizabeth (Toya) Cassidy and AnnG Lin (Nate) Elias, his son Jason Cassidy, granddaughters Amber (Turk) Kime and Jenny Romain, grandsons Drew (Tammy) Staelens, William Elias, Dano Elias, and Casey Cassidy, his sister Julie (Tom) Rowland, and his brothers Pat Cassidy and Tim Cassidy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his mother Margaret (Cunningham) Cassidy, his father Edward Cassidy, his sisters Sue (Cassidy) Drew, Maureen Cassidy, Nancy (Cassidy) Morris, and his brother David Cassidy.
In his career, John dedicated 20 years to Meijer Airport Rd in Jackson, Michigan, followed by 8 years at Westwood Mall maintenance in Jackson, Michigan, and 28 years at Downey Mfg in Spring Arbor, Michigan.
He worshipped at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Jackson, Michigan, and found joy in spending time with his grandson Casey, tending to his tomato garden, and cherishing moments with his family.
