John Edward Devine's Obituary
John Edward Devine, 72, of Cement City, MI, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home surrounded by family under the care of Careline Hospice.
He was born on December 9, 1952, in Houston, Texas, to Robert and Patricia (Tilden) Devine. John married the love of his life, Karin Williams, on December 16, 1976, at their home in Cement City, MI. They had 48 wonderful years together. John is a graduate of Columbia Central High School, class of 1971. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially taking trips with his brother, Bill. John enjoyed hanging out in his barn and in his pool. He made an adventure quest for restaurants he saw on Facebook. John retired from MacSteel/Gerdau after 44 years of service. Above all, John was a family man and enjoyed attending grandkids sporting events when they were in school. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
John is survived by his wife, Karin; his children, Amy (LeRoy) Jaycox and J.D. Devine; a brother, Bill (Judy) Devine; three grandchildren, Riley, Izzie and Mic. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia; a sister, Pam Devine; brothers-in-law, Rick Williams and Terry Williams; and a sister-in-law, Deb Lowe.
The family would like to express their gratitude for all the loving care from Careline Hospice staff, especially Brigitte and Charlie.
