John Henry Ferguson's Obituary
John Henry Ferguson, 73, of Henrietta Michigan, passed away December 13, 2024. John’s family and friends will gather 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday December 17, 2024, with the Lodge of Sorrow conducted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles 612 at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2024, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. Fr. Jarrod Dillion will serve as celebrant.
John was born on June 20, 1951, in Howell, Michigan to Robert and Dixie (Dale) Ferguson. He graduated from Northwest High school in 1969 and shortly afterwards was employed in manufacturing quality control at Wyman/Gordan, until 1991. John then worked for Manchester Stamping from 1993-2004. He was an enthusiastic rock and roll fan and enjoyed following his friends’ local bands. At an early age John discovered his love for billiards that he then later shared with his daughter and could often be found on the golf course. He cheered on his favorite teams, the Detroit Tigers and Lions and was a major fan of Michigan State University! John was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 612 with his son and Union Local 953.
Most of all, John will be remembered as a loving and caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
John will be missed by; his children, Jonathon Ferguson of Jackson, Michigan and Jamie Ferguson of Gaston, South Carolina; siblings, Dale Ferguson of Pleasant Lake, Michigan, Jay (Virginia) Ferguson of Pleasant Lake, Michigan and Peggy (James) Booth of Jackson, Michigan; grandchildren, Sofia Shuler, Dalyla Shuler and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dixie Ferguson and brother, Robert Ferguson.
