John Carl Pickell's Obituary
Age 79, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.
One of the most loved qualities about John was his great wit; he had a language all his own. He had a keen intelligence and was an extremely clever and artistic man, his creativity was vast and outside the box. He was known for his many mechanical creations; no motorized vehicle was left unaltered, with each creation thoughtfully and humorously named. John had a love for the outdoors, gardening and animals.
John is survived by his three children and their families, his son, Don (Chrissy) Pickell, his sons, Josh (Kelcie) and Brandon Pickell, and grandson, Ryker; his son, Dan Pickell, his children, Cody (Shanna) and Paige Pickell, and granddaughter, Willow; his daughter, Penny (Sven) Harrison, their son, Dustin (Nichole) Harrison, and granddaughter, Gemma; John also leaves behind two sisters, Nan Bartell and Sue (Stew) Phillips; many nieces, nephews and a whole family of friends.
A memorial service will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Noon with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
