John Edward Rose's Obituary
John Edward Rose, 80, of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 after a long battle with cancer, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 28, 1945 in Dearborn, Michigan to Jack and Joy (Esterling) Rose. John married Tina Donahee on September 15, 1984 in Brooklyn, Michigan. He will be remembered for his love of fishing. John loved to fish in Ludington, Michigan and off the coast of Florida and the Carolina’s, even enjoying ice fishing in his early years. He never met a fisherman; he did not like. John is a Lowery High School graduate and worked for Ford Motor Company, retiring after many years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, but still enjoyed the Detroit Tigers and NASCAR. John was a believer in Christ and family. The family spent many vacations on the coast of Florida, Myrtle Beach and the south in general along with his fishing buddies. Above all, John cherished his time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather (affectionately known as PaPa). John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tina; his children, Derek (LeAnn) Rose and Jason (Rebecca) Rose; two sisters, Laurie (Paul) Martin and Edy Heffron; Seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren, and his beloved cat, Mackie. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Madalyn Gambrell and brother, Dennis Rose.
Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation. Please leave a message of comfort for John’s family or sign his guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes
