John David Sullivan, Sr.'s Obituary
Age 76, of Blackman Township, passed away at Highland Assisted Living and Memory Care March 4, 2017. He is survived by three children, LaVone (Matthew) Buhler, Christopher Michael (Veroniqua) Shafer and John D. Sullivan Jr., six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister, Kathleen (Skip) Rodgers and his aunt, Cecelia Swords, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Donnella in 2016, sister, Norita Ann Sullivan, brother Gerad Sullivan, parents, Gerad and Norita (McFee) Sullivan. He retired from Conrail after 42 years of service where he worked as a brakeman and conductor. He loved all the Detroit Sports Teams and was an avid golfer. Mr. Sullivan has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2 pm with Johnie Jones officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
