John W. Towler's Obituary
Age 70, of Grass Lake Township, passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Health on Monday, April 5, 2021 due to complications of Covid-19. John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pamela M.; two children, Jason Towler and Kristina Towler; step-son, Patrick McGaskey; grandson, Jordan Thompson; three step-grandchildren, Alissa (Tyler) Street, Kelsey Bell and Logan McGaskey; great-granddaughter, Nova Street; his brother, James (Paulette) Towler; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy (Smith) Towler Sr.; step-daughter, Kelli Bell and brother, Robert Towler.
A 1969 graduate of Jackson High School, John went on to serve in U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a retiree of Eaton Aeroquip with over 40 years of service. John enjoyed golfing, bowling and going to the casino.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor John's life will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 915 Napoleon Road, Michigan Center, MI 49254 on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:00 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 am. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Grass Lake will follow the services and the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team will give military honors.
